Job Overview:

MINDTHEGAP is looking for a talented and highly creative Graphic Designer who can take conceptual ideas and create visual representations, both in print and electronic media. The role is based in Cluj-Napoca.

We see graphic design as visual storytelling that engages, informs and inspires! The Graphic Designer will be responsible for creating visual concepts for MINDTHEGAP to communicate ideas that stir curiosity and captivate consumers, while creating a consistent brand representation across all materials. This role will create engaging and on-brand graphics for a variety of media, helping MINDTHEGAP reach its business objectives.

Requirements: Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic / Art Design or related disciplines
• A strong portfolio of illustrations, drawings (both digital and hand-drawn), lino cut, or others graphics
• Professional experience of 3+ years, preferably with a fashion/interior design/textile company or creative agency
• Solid working skills with various design software and vector technologies: Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and others
• Good understanding of typography (colors, materials, types of printing, and more)
• A keen eye for aesthetics and details
• Fluency in English is mandatory
• Creative mind, out of the box thinker
• Ability to communicate effectively with the team and with other business partners
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and to manage multiple tasks
• Able to give and receive constructive feedback
• Good understanding of marketing, production, website design, corporate identity, product packaging, advertisements, and multimedia design.

Responsabilities:

• Study design briefs, determine requirements, strategise and make a plan for a wide range of materials and mediums
• Conceptualise visuals based in requirements, brainstorm, prepare and present rough ideas
• Improve and build upon current design materials while adhering to MINDTHEGAP’s brand standards (web, print)
• Develop new visual concepts, designs, and creative projects, provide creative input across image and video concept development using software or by hand
• Collaborate efficiently with the entire product and textile design team, copywriters, project managers, marketing and management team to produce final design
• Follow through and finalize successfully the production of all imagery by collaborating closely with Print and Production teams
• Develop a consistent brand image and visual voice across all materials
• Ensure that all projects are within deadlines and adhere to the budget
• Create accurate and high-quality work by proofreading your designs and ensuring the final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand
• Test graphics across various media and materials
• Participate in collection shootings abroad
